After bravely sending a group of villagers to explore tile 1514 the adventurers went to tile 1413 gathering a tribute of fruits to give to the giants. On the way to the specific fruit tree, that was previously found a few days earlier, a group of dead deer were found. The deer were sucked dry on their blood. Our exceptional woodsman could easily identify the attackers as stirges, a feathered flying bloodsucking animal big as a house cat.
After that discovery the adventurers went to the tree and gathered a barrel of fruit, and on the way from the tree a nest of stirges was found sleeping in a tree. They were ignored.
Trekking up the mountain a giant was found sleeping by the trail. Efforts were made to appease it with the fruits. Though the fruits were apparently immensely disgusting a kind of tentative friendship was formed between Darius and the giant, Darius who had taken upon himself to make the initial contact.
The giant, Darius and the sweet Lady Enea went ahead up the hill, with the rest of the group keeping their distance to not anger or upset the giant.
At the top of the hill two even larger giants were seen at their hut, the first giant clearly just their child. The giant child ran ahead to its mother, who was cooking at the hut, clearly happy to have made a friend. His mother had another opinion in the matter and gave the child a proper berating, and proceeded to do the same to Darius. After that she reached for Darius with her open hand. Darius with his good intentions , took it as a greeting handshake and held out his own hand, but the giantess just picked him up and started carrying him to the hut, after some more shouting.
By this time the father giant had joined the others and started reaching for the Lady Enea s horse, but it sidestepped easily, and Enea rode after the giantess and wrestled Darius from her grip.
At this time Elroth decided to stun the papa giant and the child, but managed to stun the papa and Eneas horse instead. The horse was able to hobble away anyways and the child started running towards Elroth.
The giant child managed to close with Elroth in a hurry and panicked his horse which ran away a short distance before he could regain control. After being so thoroughly humiliated he jumped of his horse and shot the child dead. Gaining the nickname “The child killer” and totally ruining all chances of ever befriending these giants and gaining the wroth of Darius.
Mike managed to draw the papa giant away from combat by trying, and failing, to burn down their house. He bravely ran away with the giant at his heels and kept him away from combat.
The mother giant, in utter anguish of her killed child, ran to Elroth and tried to bash his head in, but only succeeded in greatly wounding him. In this fierce rage she just brushed away a quarrel to the head, not seeming to notice it, from Thorgrim Ironbore.
Once again Enea, after letting Darius jump off, rode to the rescue of her companion, snatching Elroth from certain death. But they didn’t get far, as the giantess managed to clip the horse with a sweeping blow. And she waded in after her new enemy; Enea.
The giantess didn’t come far because Silithane, who just had arrived since he is obese, managed to blast her with his holy power. And Darius ran in and easily dealt with her. After this Silithane treated Eneas horse’s wounds and stabilized Silithane.
Mike also came back, after loosing the last giant in the woods and courageously sneaking back.
Both the giants heads were taken off and brought along, leaving a clear trail of blood, and deposited outside the nearby Shou’s cave. A great roar of anguish was heard from the top of the cliff and the adventurers decided to relocate to the settlement to rest up.
The townspeople were also told of the giant mosquito birds that were on the island, so they knew to look out for them.
